Army Camouflage Jackets

NYC is having some serious bi-polar weather issues. It’s too hot for a proper winter jacket but too cold for a light weight leather jacket. What will all the fashionistas wear without catching a cold? An Army Camouflage jacket. It’s the perfect in-between-weather jacket. Light enough to wear regularly but still keeping you warm, this jacket is perfect. And the cool vintage camouflage print, can make any outfit instantly better. Get on it.

Chunky Sweater Swag

Winter 2011-2012 was all about chunky sweaters. If you weren’t wearing a thick knit sweater that was two sizes too big, you weren’t considered trendy. These sweaters were worn in a variety of different ways: with jeans, with a collared shirt under neath, with trousers, with shorts, with flowy skirts, with fitted skirts & my personal favorite, over printed dresses. These chunky sweaters are a great way to utilize your summer & spring wardrobe into winter. You can take almost any summer dress or skirt you have & add a sweater to it to make it winter esque!

My favorite chunky sweater outfit was what I saw a girl leaving my school building wearing: black high waisted trousers & a navy blue polka dot collared shirt with a beige colored chunky knit sweater on top. She paired them with simple black Jeffrey Campbell wedges. It looked amazing.

TIP: Chunky sweaters look awesome when worn with knit circle/infinity scarfs…just like these:

What I see

I go to fashion school in New York City where fashion is constantly changing. I can tell what’s popular by just looking at what my classmates are wearing each week. It’s amazing to see how quickly people pick up on trends so I decided to document the various trends I see throughout the year.
